To celebrate the new owners and new vision for Australia’s most celebrated recording studio, The Grove Studios are offering APRA AMCOS music creators and customers a special discount of 20% off recording, mixing or mastering rates.
The Grove Studios new owner is Scott Horscroft, formerly of Sydney’s inner-city Big Jesus Burger studios and, more recently, GM of A&R for EMI Music Australia, steering Empire Of The Sun and many other successful projects internationally. Scott’s personal producing and mixing credits include work with Silverchair, The Temper Trap, The Presets, 360, Papa Vs Pretty, Birds of Tokyo and Sleepy Jackson is a the helm. Also on hand will be some of Australia’s most celebrated engineers and producers, including Burke Reid (The Drones, Mess Hall, DZ Death Rays); Matt Lovell (Eskimo Joe, Something For Kate, INXS); Andy Mac (Boy and Bear, Tina Arena, Phebe Starr) ; and Josh Telford – The Grove’s long standing in house engineer who worked with Silverchair and Eskimo Joe.
With four fully-equipped state-of-the-art recording studios and a total of 42 separate rooms for living, writing, jamming and relaxing, The Grove Studios offers a creative experience quite unlike anything available anywhere else in the world, coupled with a secluded resort style pool and outdoor spa. This idyllic studio with world-class facilities are nestled away on an elevated 25 acres of secluded bushland, only a five-minute drive out of the major rural centre of Gosford.
The Grove’s local musical heritage is near peerless. It’s here that Silverchair recorded Neon Ballroom and Diorama; Delta Goodrem created much of Innocent Eyes; Eskimo Joe made Black Fingernails Red Wine; Something For Kate moulded Echolalia. Other ARIA Award-winning artists who’ve made The Grove Studios their creative home in the past include The Whitlams, Troy Cassar-Daly, Human Nature and, of course, INXS. “It’s a fantastic space to make records and a great place to write songs,” says Scott “and we welcome all enquiries from APRA AMCOS music creators and customers”.
