42 years. I started shortly after Brett Cottle in 1977 as Research Officer; still searching!

What do you love most about APRA AMCOS?

On a personal level, it’s a genuine pleasure coming to work, I love what I do. I see APRA AMCOS as an example to other MROs, not only in terms of basic operations but its involvement in promoting music on so many levels.

What makes you happy at work?

Tracking down dead people, amongst other things! It’s all about the thrill of the hunt. Resolving long-unidentified works and writers is most rewarding – for them too.

How has APRA AMCOS shaped your career?

I started in a record store (Palings) in 1970 and developed an eclectic taste in music. My current job allows me access to music I would otherwise never have heard – wonderful!

What was your main reason for wanting to join APRA AMCOS?

Having worked in the industry in various capacities, I saw an opportunity to expand my knowledge – boy was I right!
