VIC - Bands, Budgets and Balancing the Books

It’s tax time, which means one thing: we need to talk money. Join APRA AMCOS and Music Victoria at a practical session aimed at helping you keep track of your cash, create a tour budget and prepare a tax return.

Hosted by entertainment lawyer and DJ Jennifer Tutty, the evening will be split into two masterclasses led by top music accountants. In part one, John Atkins and Joanna Syme from White Sky take you through how to plan, budget and manage cashflow, and how to achieve better outcomes. They’ll also give you a pack of useful templates designed to simplify the process, and show you how to use them effectively.

In part two, Serge Bolzonello from accounting firm Banks Group will give you the info and tools you need to prepare for tax time, and take you through what a tax return should look like.

As the end of the financial year approaches, this is a vital session for artists, managers and small music business owners looking to make the most of their money. Bookings essential, limited places available!
