VIC - Under Pressure: Creativity and Mental Health (Ballarat)

RSVP to victas@apra.com.au

World Mental Health Day is 10 October. As part of a week of educational events throughout Victoria, APRA AMCOS is expanding its well-received event series on mental health and the music industry with a Geelong session.

Recent research has shown that there’s a high incidence of depression and anxiety within our industry. With low pay, unreliable work, long hours, bullying, stress and other factors all playing a part, keeping your head in check can often be a huge challenge – as can finding support when you need it the most.

To open up discussion about mental health, Tom Larkin, drummer from internationally renowned band Shihad and a massive advocate for mental health in the music industry, will be presenting his thoughts and sharing information and resources on the topic ‘Under Pressure: Creativity and Mental Health’.

Also on hand for the evening to highlight upcoming industry initiatives will be APRA AMCOS Representative Jenny Branagan and Music Victoria’s all-round legend, booker and band manager Shaun Adams. Join us!
