Over two days, CHANGES will outline the future of the music industry. Across the realms of music, tech, talks and ideas, changes has assembled a roster of ground-breaking voices to ignite one question: what’s next?

Headquartered within the stunning ACU Melbourne campus, on July 4 and 5, CHANGES will begin to draw a roadmap for the future.

Seattle Film Institute has partnered with the Pacific Northwest Film Scoring Program to offer the original one-year Master of Music Degree in Music Composition for Film and Media and one of the only one-year film scoring programs available in the United States. The MM (Master of Music) in Film Composition degree is a thorough immersion into writing music for Film, TV, and other media and prepares graduates to enter those fields with the skill set, experience and professional portfolio necessary to launch a successful career. The program is led by two-time Emmy Award winning composer Hummie Mann.

Turn Up to Queensland’s premier regional music industry conference on Thursday 18 October 2018 from 4:00 pm until 11:00 pm.  The Turn Up Sunshine Coast Music Industry Conference is turning five this year and has moved to the new Playhouse at The Solbar, Maroochydore.  The Turn Up Conference program includes keynote presentations, conversational discussion panels with leading music industry achievers, networking opportunities with industry veterans and fellow practitioners and showcase performances from local Sunshine Coast artists.  The 2018 Turn Up Sunshine Coast Music Industry Conference is proudly presented by Turn Up, Solbar, Oztix, Sunshine Coast Creative Alliance, Scenestr and Shake It Up Music.

A biennial feature on the Newcastle music calendar, The Newkulele Festival offers a fantastic weekend celebrating the sounds of the ukulele. This unique event is open to all the family and suitable for any age group, and has a special appeal for music lovers.

The Festival features international acts and players from across Australia covering a wide range of music styles and accompanying instruments. Come along for two days and nights to feast on the diversity of sounds created around the beautiful, humble ukulele. The festival offers three stages of FREE music, markets, open mic opportunities, a cafe and bar, as well as showcasing two fabulous ticketed evening concerts, and workshops -  all inside Newcastle City Hall.
