It’s tax time, and we're bringing in the experts for an assist.

Join APRA AMCOS and MusicNSWfor a practical session aimed at helping you manage the business side of things. We'll be talking publicity campaigns too and how to factor those in to your music and financial strategy.

Following an APRA AMCOS 101 session, Ben Fletcher and Tim Sturday from Generate will take you through:

  • managing your accounts and cashflow
  • how to prepare a tax return and what it should look like
  • useful accounting templates

Mardi Caught of The Annex and Stella Hobbs from Jaden Socia will cover the info and tools you need to prepare a high-impact campaign on a modest budget.

MusicNSW and APRA AMCOS Writer Services Reps will be on hand for questions. Bring a friend, non-members welcome to come along and find out more. Free event, includes drinks and nibbles.

A biennial feature on the Newcastle music calendar, The Newkulele Festival offers a fantastic weekend celebrating the sounds of the ukulele. This unique event is open to all the family and suitable for any age group, and has a special appeal for music lovers.

The Festival features international acts and players from across Australia covering a wide range of music styles and accompanying instruments. Come along for two days and nights to feast on the diversity of sounds created around the beautiful, humble ukulele. The festival offers three stages of FREE music, markets, open mic opportunities, a cafe and bar, as well as showcasing two fabulous ticketed evening concerts, and workshops -  all inside Newcastle City Hall.
