NSW - Starting Ground Campbelltown NSW

Looking to fine tune your songwriting skills? Need tips on music production? Want to build your music industry knowledge? Join us!

You are invited to attend the Campbelltown Starting Ground workshop. Aboriginal songwriters and musicians at any stage in their career who are looking to expand their skills, are encouraged to register. APRA AMCOS and Campbelltown Arts Centre are coordinating the event.

Over two days, the workshop will be run by a mix of top artists and industry pros.

Coming along to Campbelltown are songwriters/performers Microwave Jenny (Brendon Boney and Tessa Nuku) and Radical Son (David Leha), producer/engineer Liam Judson (Cloud Control, Belles Will Ring) and manager/publisher Rob Scott.

APRA AMCOS Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander National Representative Michael Hutchings will be onground to facilitate the sessions.

The sessions at Starting Ground will explore many facets of the industry:

  • Songwriting 
  • Music production 
  • Artist management
  • Booking gigs/performing 
  • Touring 
  • Copyright 
  • Marketing and promotion 

Artists who have been mentored at previous Starting Ground workshops include Loren-Jade RyanAthol Munro, Dylan Goolagong, Maddi Lyn, Sean Kinchela, Tom Avery and Tamah Williams.
