VIC - EQUALIZE: MUSIC PRODUCTION WORKSHOPS FOR WOMEN

A full day of specialised music production at Abbey Road Institute and Music and Effects

EQUALIZE is designed for women and non-binary songwriter and composer members with a basic operative understanding of music production and who are keen to further build their technical skills and industry knowledge to become a producer - whether to producer their own work or the work of others. 

Presented with Abbey Road Institute, Music and Effects, and Music Victoria, EQUALIZE is an initiative created to support our commitment to improving gender parity across the membership through a variety of skills and industry development programs. 

Attendees will spend the day in small groups for genre-based studio instruction with experts in that field. The three areas of focus are:

  • Composing for the screen (film and TV)
  • Electronic/pop music production
  • Recording/producing bands in studio

TO APPLY:
Select the genre workshop you would like to attend and proceed to the online application form. You can apply for multiple workshop streams, but if successful, you will need to elect one to attend. If offered a place, there is a $35 cost per participant that covers lunch, afternoon and networking refreshments. Start time is 9:30am, with workshops concluding at 5pm; attendees are invited to attend a networking drinks with approximate finish time of 7pm.

Presenters: Bonnie Knight (recording engineer/mixer), Nao Anzai (producer/mixer) and Melbourne band HEXDEBT
