Whether you are just beginning to write songs or already playing gigs, you are encouraged to join your fellow music makers from the Northern Rivers region (and beyond) to learn more about songwriting, production, collaboration and how to connect with the music industry.

APRA AMCOS and SAE Byron Bay are coordinating the event, in partnership with Create NSW.

The Darebin Music Feast Songwriters’ Award is an annual songwriting competition that seeks to recognise, showcase and promote the talents of local songwriters

The inaugural ZoneOut International Music Festival – combining live, neo-classical tunes with discussions about lifestyle and wellness – will be a one-day affair featuring performances from international and local artists, morning yoga sessions and film screenings.
The line-up includes festival ambassador Luke Howard and pianist Sophie Hutchings (both from Australia), German masked musician Lambert, UK-based cellist Peter Gregson and Dutch indie harpist Remy van Kesteren.
Also performing are Australian electronic producers Anatole and Double Touch, Kenyan singer-songwriter JS Ondara, Irish folk singer Sibeal and Australian pianist Kristian Chong.

From an exploration of musical memories to a work that draws from the intricate patterns of stuttered speech, MacArthur Fellow and flute virtuoso Claire Chase presents five original pieces from the Sydney Conservatorium of Music’s Composing Women program.
Join National Sawdust and Claire Chase in a celebration of female composers and see the artist San Francisco Classical Voice calls “one of the world’s foremost performers.”

Each year Star Maker invites aspiring country music artists to compete for a range of opportunities that will provide a substantial career boost for the winner.
Star Maker is more than just a talent quest - it is a search (through competition) for an individual, aged over 18 years, who has the greatest potential to take advantage of the opportunities offered in the Toyota Star Maker prize package.

The Lyrebird Gift is a one-off gift of $20,000 to a musician or band.
In keeping with our core beliefs, philosophy and approach to all we have done in the past 20 years, the application process to be the recipient of The Lyrebird Gift will be quite straightforward.
