Last chance to apply for Smugglers of Light Foundation Music and Media Award
Are you looking to further your music or media career?
The Smugglers of Light Foundation Music and Media Award returns in 2017 to provide a promising Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander music or media practitioner with a grant of $12,000.
The Award was established in memory of Eli Westlake aged 21, who was tragically killed in Sydney on 7 June 2008. Marcus Corowa was the inaugural winner of the Award in 2015.
"To have taken out the award is truly incredible and I'm so excited at what winning this award means for my career. The cash prize of $12 000 is going to go a long way in helping me to realise some more dreams and to get a few more projects off the ground." Marcus Corowa, 2015 Winner
- Nominations may be made by an individual music or media practitioner, or group, and may be used for individual professional development.
- You can also use the funds to develop, commission or create original music if you're working on a specific project such as film, dance, theatre or mixed media.
