Friday, 27 Jan 2017

APRA AMCOS members have again been recognised in the Australia Day 2017 Honours List. This year, seven members were honoured for their services to the arts, including Jimmy Barnes, Nick Cave, Paul Kelly and Larry Sitsky.

Jimmy said he was “humbled” by the recognition.

“I just wanted to say thank you to whoever decides these things of course, but more importantly, those who have worked so hard and sweated with me at all the shows that I have done over the last 40 odd years. That means not only my fellow musicians and road crews, but also the public who have come along to share and celebrate live Australian music with me. And thank you to all those people out there doing great community work, helping those in need,” said Jimmy.
