Josh Pyke, in conjunction with APRA AMCOS, is bringing back the Josh Pyke Partnership for a sixth year in 2019, awarding a lucky Australian musician with a $7500 grant to kick-start their music career! In addition to the financial reward, the winning artist will receive mentorship from Josh Pyke himself, Gregg Donovan (Wonderlick Entertainment) and Stephen Wade (Select Music).

"I’m excited to announce the JP Partnership in collaboration with APRA AMCOS again this year! Get your entries in early, and I look forward to hearing some more amazing and perhaps undiscovered artists in 2019," said Josh.

The partnership requires the winning artist to establish and execute a business plan, which will support the progression of their music career.

"The Josh Pyke Partnership provides impactful funding and invaluable career guidance to its recipients and has set a shining example of how the local industry can support emerging artists in innovative ways. APRA AMCOS is proud to a be a supporter of the initiative once again," said Jana Gibson, Head of Member Services at APRA AMCOS.

Previous winners like Angie McMahon, Alex Lahey and Gordi have gone from strength to strength since receiving the award.

"This prize had a huge effect on my year because it meant I could pursue the professional goals I'd set for myself," says Angie McMahon. "The vote of confidence from Josh Pyke and APRA AMCOS helped people believe in my music, which is very powerful, and I've been busy pursuing opportunities since receiving the prize. It felt like I'd been passed the relay baton, and then I was off and running."

To enter, applicants must not be signed to a recording or publishing company and must submit a business plan outlining how they would use the $7500 grant.

Entries open on 11 February 2019 and will close at 5PM AEDT on 31 March 2019. The winner will be announced 7 June 2019.
