From 1 January 2018, CCLI will administer APRA AMCOS rights for all Christian churches in Australia.

Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) will administer all APRA AMCOS' public performance, reproduction and communication licensing in churches, from 1 January 2018.

What this means

As you may be aware, CCLI is an international copyright licensing body that licenses the use of intellectual material used by Christian churches. APRA AMCOS and CCLI have entered into a partnership allowing CCLI to license the use of musical works on behalf of APRA AMCOS, that is, the right to publicly perform, reproduce and communicate musical works by churches.

CCLI will contact current APRA AMCOS licensees leading up to the anniversary date of their APRA AMCOS licence and establish a new agreement - meaning all invoicing and queries will be managed by CCLI from 1 January 2018.

Many churches have an established relationship with CCLI through current licensing arrangements. This means that having one point of contact will alleviate the need to liaise with both CCLI and APRA AMCOS.

Zero administration fee

There will be no additional fees or costs for CCLI to administer the licence.

However, following a consultation and review with Churches, a new licence fee structure based on Congregation size will be introduced in future.

For further information please contact CCLI on phone 1300 225 400.

Other non-CCLI licences

If your church holds an APRA AMCOS licence or tariff outside of the church licence, invoicing for those uses of music will continue as normal through APRA AMCOS.
