The Creative Workforce Initiative (CWI) is conducting a collaborative study on the characteristics of work and the challenges and opportunities facing women composers, and is asking for survey submissions from our members.

CWI’s Professor Dawn Bennett (Curtin Uni) has partnered with Associate Professor Cat Hope (ECU), and Associate Professor Sally Macarthur (UWS) to conduct the International Study of Women Composers.

The study aims to create a better understanding of the creative workforce through investigations of the working lives and economic circumstances of creative workers across a wide range of disciplines. Drawing on a range of social and economic contexts, CWI academics work with partner investigators in Australia, England, Scotland, Canada, the US and Malaysia.
