APRA AMCOS at the Tamworth Country Music Festival:

APRA AMCOS will be heading to the Tamworth Country Music Festival in 2016. The Festival runs from 15 - 17 January 2016 with a huge lineup of events www.tcmf.com.au. Christmas/New Year closing dates:

APRA AMCOS offices will be closed for the Christmas and New Year break from 1pm Thursday 24 December 2015, and will reopen at 9am on Monday 4 January 2016. We hope you have a relaxing break - see you in 2016!

ABN cancellations:

A reminder to all members to keep your ABN up-to-date. If you have been contacted by the Australian Business Register regarding your entitlement to an Australian Business Number (ABN) you must respond with 21 days of being notified if you do not want your ABN cancelled.

APRA AMCOS must deduct 49% from your royalty earnings if you earn over $500 and do not have an active ABN.

New Jingle Reporting Form for non-Enriched Data Source areas:

Jingle writers should note there is a new Jingle Reporting Form for non-Enriched Data Source (EDS) areas.

All jingles aired in EDS areas from 1 July 2015 are distributed via APRA AMCOS’ new jingle system using Music Recognition Technology. Only use this form if your jingles are broadcast outside EDS areas. The EDS areas are listed below: 

 Enriched Data Source (EDS) Areas for jingles include:

  • Australian TV and Radio: Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide & Perth;
  • New Zealand Radio: Auckland, Christchurch and Wellington; and
  • New Zealand TV: Auckland.
