In what’s been a big start to the New Year Alberts is excited to be working with the superbly talented Eves The Behavior. Touring with George Ezra, performing on St Jerome’s Laneway Festival & releasing single ‘TV’ was all in a month’s work. Laneway Festival also welcomed UK buzz band JUNGLE back to Australian shores. 

February continues with incredible amount of talent hitting the road. Megan Washington will be found in all capital cities across Australia, taking Montaigne along for the ride.  Foo Fighters chose The Delta Riggs to join their stadium tour across the country, and they'll be continuing onto Austin, TX USA for SXSW with an incredibly strong Australian contingent, which includes indie/pop favourites, San Cisco.

AC/DC’s plans for the year started to emerge, with an appearance at The Grammys and announcement that’ll see the band leading this year’s Coachella line-up.

'Am I Ever Gonna See Your Face Again' will feature in the film, Manny Lewis, 'Hit The Road Jack' features as opening titles for the TV series Hiding, 'If You’ve Got Love' launched Oz Harvest’s 10 year anniversary and 'TNT' features in a promo and opening titles for the T20 Big Bash on Network Ten.


A busy summer for Mushroom Music Publishing (MMP), Local A&R have signed Melbourne based singer songwriter Ella Thompson. Ella has a solo release underway and will debut solo supporting Angel Olsen at Howler on February 4.

Melbourne 5 piece Jakubi have penned a deal with Create/Control in Australia and INgrooves for the rest of the world. Their new EP Holiday will be released worldwide on January 23.

Electro Pop duo Client Liaison have also been signed. 2014 was an exciting year for Harvey and Monty topping it off performing at the Falls Music Festival. They will be touring nationwide in March promoting their recent EP release.

In international news, MMP have also signed the Ministry of Sound Publishing catalogue for ANZ.

English dance pop duo Nimmo have signed direct. Having recent shows in London selling out, the guys have been listed in Faster Louder’s “15 UK Buzz Bands for 2015” and are currently recording the debut album with Tim Goldsworthy (LCD Sound System).

In Sync news, the team are music supervising the upcoming 2 part series Molly with Mushroom Pictures who are producing for Channel 7 airing later this year.



Native Tongue would like to congratulate writer, Meghan Trainor on her album Title debuting at #1 on the ARIA charts. The album features the smash singles ‘All About That Bass’ and ‘Lips Are Moving’. Meghan will be touring Australia in April.

There’s been an exciting start to the year on the sync front, including uses for Bonjah (JAG Jeans), The Growl (Orange Is The New Black), Charles William (Samsung, Coke, Zooper Dooper), Bonnie Prince Billy (Wentworth), APES (Teen Wolf), Gin Wigmore (Orange Is The New Black), Keith Urban (ANZ) , Electric Guest (NiB Insurance) & Olympic Ayres (Topshop) to name a few.


Melbourne producer M-Phazes has made history after achieving 4 cuts on Billboard Top 10 albums within a 12 month period. M-Phazes co-produced and co-wrote ‘Bad Guy' the opening track on Eminem's multi-million selling, Billboard Award winning album MMLP2 , ‘Bounce’ and ’Til The End’ on Logic’s US iTunes #1 and Billboard #4 album ‘Under Pressure’ and finally the Keyshia Cole single ’NLU’ feat. 2 Chainz. M-Phazes has also secured a cut on Lupe Fiasco’s new LP Tetsuo and Youth which currently sits at #4 on the US iTunes album chart. While in LA for The Grammys, M-Phazes will work further on his forthcoming second solo album- the follow-up to the ARIA Award winning Good Gracious. At home, M-Phazes has had commercial and critical success in 2014 with the likes of Illy, Meg Mac, Thelma Plum, Kimbra and Hopium.

UMPG would like to congratulate The Veronicas after their comeback single ‘You Ruin Me’ was a #1, 3xPlatinum hit in Australia and a Top 10 record in the UK. Their triumphant 3rd album debuted at #2 on the ARIA Chart and was certified Gold within a week of release. New single ‘If You Love Someone’ debuted at #5 and has also been certified Gold.



Wirripang has enjoyed a steady stream of ABC and MBS broadcasts over the past months. These will soon be enhanced with a number of new CDs that will give these broadcasters an even greater selection to choose from.  

Also, Wirripang will be launching two new books, one of which offers an extensive coverage of European music and the other a concise cover of the activities of the RAN during WWI with an emphasis on music relevant to the two recent World Wars.
