Acclaimed South Aussie piano pop-rock band Bill Parton Trio have just released the music video for their song ‘Stalker Man’ after a very busy two years since their debut EP.

The occasion marks the band’s forth collaborative release with award winning SA based filmmaker Tim Pine. Video clips for earlier songs ‘Going Away’ and ‘Falling For You Again’ were finalists for the 2013 MusicOz Awards, racing up to a 6th place nationally. These two videos have been viewed over 95,000 times on YouTube! The clip for ‘Closer Now’ was nominated as a finalist in the 2014 Fowlers Live Music Awards.

Bill Parton Trio front man William Parton explains: “Tim is the one that comes up with the ridiculous, unrealistic, crazy, brilliant ideas for the videos, we just provide the song and help make the unachievable achievable by bankrolling the operation.”

Natives of the road, Caravãna Sun have released a short run of dates across the country in May and June to celebrate the release of Ashes, the first single from their forthcoming third album. The one-take film clip for ‘Ashes’ sees the boys in a marathon running effort to avoid falling debris from a ute tray, a modern day fire walk.

These four boys don’t just write music and words, they tell stories which inspire their audience. Inspiration for the single Ashes was from one such fan. After a gig, a fan said their music was “calling out all his ancestors from the ashes to that moment" and offered to play with them in spirit to help them feel peace and overcome obstacles.

The tour is Caravãna Sun’s last run of Aussie dates before the band jet off on their fourth European Summer Tour.

Melbourne based singer/songwriter Harrison Storm has just released his latest single ‘Be Yourself’ together with a launch of his debut EP Sense Of Home last month.

Harrison Storm combines delicate acoustic guitar melodies with soothing pop vocals to deliver his mesmerizing brand of folk music, both heartfelt and raw. Inspired by the likes of Angus Stone and Ben Howard, Harrison’s tunes are perfect for the wood-fired winter evenings.

The single has received over 30,000 plays on Sound Cloud, as well as airplay on US radio station KCRW FM. The single has scored stellar reviews from Hype Machine.

Sense Of Home was recorded with Hayden Calnin and mastered at Studios 301.

Australian "one-man music-making machine" Harts is set to release a brand new EP on 5 June with a National Australian tour in June/July.

Playing all the instruments, writing all the songs and even recording and producing everything single- handedly, the virtuoso guitarist, songwriter and producer, Darren Hart has been hard at work recording and producing a brand new EP, titled 'Breakthrough.'

This new EP sees Harts continuing to hone his blend of classic 70s Rock and Funk into his own hybrid sound that is uniquely his.

As well as brand new material, this single also features previous triple j radio hits 'When A Man's A Fool' and the title track 'Breakthrough', which both made it to number one on most played tracks on Alternative Radio.

The release will also be accompanied by Hart’s biggest Australian tour yet, playing 16 dates with plans to head to NZ, the US and UK.

HARTS' 'Breakthrough' EP will be released on Pavement Records/Shock/Offtime Music.

Holidays on Ice will be starting their Hat & Hall tour in Australia on 16 May. The tour will encompass five shows across May and June held in old community halls and churches in a wholly customised show and a six-piece band.

Uniquely, the band is working with each town’s Art Societies to bring a unique show to audiences.

Holidays on Ice is an eight year old collaboration between Angie Hart (Frente!), Dean Manning (Leonardo’s Bride) & Stella Mozgawa (Warpaint). Manning says the interchange a former drummer with Stella was just what the doctor ordered, ‘She came over for a jam, nailed it and I haven’t recorded with anyone since. She’s the best’.

The video for their single ‘Dogs with Wings’ features moving black and white images of rural Australia.

Nostalgic Aussie indie rockers, HOLY HOLY have treated us to a second taste of their anticipated debut record with the release of the new single, ‘You Cannot Call For Love Like A Dog.’ This backs up their thrilling Splendour In The Grass and Primavera Festival announcements as well as the kick off of their UK/EU May tour dates.

The band is fronted by the songwriting team, vocalist/composer Timothy Carroll and guitarist/composer Oscar Dawson and are joined on the road by permanent drummer Ryan Strathie (Hungry Kids Of Hungary, Andy Bull), touring bassist Graham Ritchie (Airling, Emma Louise) and Brisbane-based producer Matt Redlich as their touring keys player.

Carroll radiates, “It's pretty diverse… there’s laid back piano, heavy slow jams and long 70’s guitar breaks. There are some psych-y bits and some sing-alongs.”

Inner West Sydney based soul rock outfit Jackie Brown Jr have just released their latest banger ‘Don’t Trust Apes’, taken from their upcoming split-single release The 44 project.

The 44 project is a split release of four singles that showcase the ‘Pulp Fiction Soul Pop’ repertoires of the five piece band which all started out at UNSW just a year ago. Jackie Brown Jr teamed up with local artists as well as UCLA students to create all artwork for the The 44 project, allowing all artists to create their own vision of each track.

The band is fronted by fiery saxophonist and vocalist Maddy Mallis, Michael Brady and Ben McDermott guitarists and vocalists, Gideon Traurig on base and vocals and Rhyan Clapham on drums.

‘Don’t Trust Apes’ and ‘Secret Agent Man’ are available

Ruby Boots released her debut album Solitude last month with a launch tour to follow this month May across Australia.

Flame-haired Ruby Boots’ bold and unafraid music doesn't hide from what she wants and doesn't care who knows it. Just like the characters in her songs, where life and love are serious matters, it's a case of ‘get on board or get out of the way.’ For principal singer and songwriter Bex Chilcott it’s all drive, and the coarse edges of raw musical passion haven’t been buffed off but embraced.

From late 2011 when the alt-country act had grown from being a band supporting the vision of Chilcott, to being a name on which to hang her expansive music styling’s, subtraction and refinement has worked in her favour. A couple of EPs have been markers of her growth, but they could hardly prepare listeners for the magic contained on Ruby Boots' debut album.

Spirited and evolving Melbourne singer/songwriter, Shelley Segal has announced the release of her new single ‘Sidelined’ lifted from her forth studio release, Strange Feeling. The explicit performer will continue the launch at Caravan Music Club on May 24 and Northcote Social Club on May 30.

‘Sidelined’ is an optimistic and catchy pop song borne out of a request from one of Shelley’s lovers to change her appearance to please them. “The song is my understanding of the nature of our aesthetics while questioning whether we can overcome them,” Shelley explains.

Inspired by the song’s theme, the clip sees the progression of ‘unmade’ to ‘made up.’
A veteran of the local and international touring circuit, Shelley is excited to perform her new music live alongside talented musicians, special guests, story-telling and her powerhouse, distinctive voice.

Regal Records is pleased to announce the release of ‘House on Four Wheels,’ the highly anticipated first single of multi-award winning singer/songwriter, Snez from the forthcoming new album by the same name.

Recorded in her home town of the NSW’s Blue Mountains, ‘House on Four Wheels’ is full of rootsy riffs and superb lyrics.

Snez comes from a Macedonian family, where stories about hardship, and work ethic are intertwined with those of romance, black magic and mysticism, an influence clearly seen in her art.

Since her 2009, debut album Gypsy Soul she has been ‘roaming’ remote and regional Australia, finding a willing audience.

Stay tuned for the album release on June 5 and an Australian tour to follow.

Australian born and USA-based writer and producer Tim Maxx has just released his latest single ‘Crash and Burn’ on Armada Music, the record label owned by Armin Van Buuren.

“I’m so excited to bring my music to Armada, I’ve been a fan of Armin’s for a decade and to be on the same label is an honour,” says Tim.

Along with producing the song, Tim also directed the music video, which was filmed in New York City. “When I write a song I can already see the video playing out in my head.”

This Sydney-based alternative band have an uncanny ability to pen an infectiously catchy alternative rock anthem. They have just returned from a run of tour dates to celebrate the launch of their latest film clip for single ‘London Lights.’ This release is taken from the Sydney rockers latest EP 'Distance.'

'Distance' is a true evolution of sound from the band’s highly successful debut EP 'Youth' (2013). Recorded at Electric Sun Studios 'Distance' is a powerful reflection of the bands growth and progression as musicians and songwriters.

The reception from fans across the country quickly rocketed 'Distance' to number two on the iTunes Alternative music & number ten on the overall iTunes albums charts.

On 13 May, million-selling artists such as Ozzy Osbourne, Simon Le Bon (Duran Duran), Anthony Kiedis (Red Hot Chili Peppers), Moby and Duff McKagan (Guns ‘N’ Roses) came together to campaign to ‘Let a Bear Sh!t in the Woods’ – calling for the freedom for 10,000 caged Asian moon bears, intensively farmed for their stomach bile.

The famous faces featured in a brief tongue-in-cheek video to raise awareness of the campaign. They join fellow musicians Olivia Newton-John and Jimmy Page as Animals Asia supporters.

“Behind the humour, it highlights the painful and pitiful existence of thousands of bears on farms compared with how they should be enjoying life in the wild,” said Dr Jill Robinson, founder Animals Asia.
