APRA AMCOS at Amsterdam Dance Event (ADE)

Deputy Director of Writer Services, Frank Rodi, is representing APRA AMCOS at Amsterdam Dance Event (ADE) in October. The Amsterdam Dance Event (ADE) is the leading electronic music platform and the biggest club festival in the world for the whole spectrum of electronic sub-genres. Frank will be available to meet APRA AMCOS members attending ADE. To arrange a time just email frodi@apra.com.au.

Frank will also be speaking at an ADE panel event on Thursday October 15: “The Association for Electronic Music (AFEM) presents: Get Played Get Paid ... a Year On" about the successes, the lessons and the new opportunities opened up by Music Recognition Technology and working with Pioneer DJ’s KUVO technology.

The panel will be moderated by the AFEM CEO Mark Lawrence and feature guest speakers: Frank Rodi (APRA AMCOS), Yuri Dokter (DJ Monitor), Rik Parkinson (Pioneer DJ), Christian Jansen (Buma/Stemra), Sebastian Spring (SUISA) and Elizabeth Muirhead (BMAT).

AFEM’s ‘Get Played Get Paid’ launched at ADE 2014. The campaign is introducing technology to Performing Rights Organisations around the world to enable them to pay royalties to the creators of music when their music is played in the club, on line, or in fact anywhere at all.  A year on and significant progress has been made.
